The ART of spirit...

...with all the changes to FaceBook recently, I was left contemplating my business whist lying in bed last night and what these changes meant to me?! I lay there thinking and worrying (mainly worrying because I am pretty good at it) about the potential loss my business would suffer and a better way to advertise my wares. With only one potential market stall before christmas and very little money to advertise I was left blank. Finally I decided to let it go, not ignore the problem, but put it aside for the night to think about for tomorrow.
And it was the right way to go, today I woke up in the usual way, took hubby to work, ate my breakfast and over my usual Green Tea and Jasmine, checked my emails.
To my excitement (I can get very excited!) I found two emails waiting for me, for two market stalls I had been accepted into, one I thought clashed with the one I had already committed to but actually didnt, and the second was one I had applied to earlier,  been unsuccessful the first time but spaces had opened up and I was now in!
So now with 3 market stalls up my sleeve and a million and one ideas rolling around in my head for merchandise I was buzzing!!!
I again went about my business and carried on with my day...elated by my morning emails.
Whilst on my usual erand run I got a phone call...it was a friend who was offering some free advertising in exchange for a prize, Fabulous! I snapped it up, and it is the perfect demographic of local people to advertise through.
To top of my exciting day, I got an email back from a representative at Cristina re (my favourite paper of all time if you know me I am sure I have mentioned it once or twice ;o)) saying that the donation I had asked for, the "cards for the troops" day was on its way...
hmmm...great day!

what can I not worry about tonight?....

Peace Out xxxooo

My first Blog :)

This is my first time I have Blogged!
After thinking about it for some time, I have now ventured into the blogger world.
This blog will feature my designs, Community projects and art work that does not fit into my FaceBook Business page.

A Little about me:
I am newly married (18 months) with one Fur-child, and live in the Adelaide Hills. I am an army wife, and to the most part enjoy the lifestyle and the benefits that come from being a defence spouse. After moving to South Australia in July last year I found it difficult to find work and decided that it was the perfect time to start my business in Invitation, album and event decoration, that I have dreamed about doing for a long time. After a slow start, I am now finding my business taking off, and my ideas and inspiration are coming fast. I now have so many ideas that I am busy all the time with creative pursuits and designing etc.

A few of my projects coming up:

"Christmas Cards for the Troops"
Through my association with my local Defence group I am running two "Christmas cards for the troops" Card making days in October where a few defence spouses will get together and make a whole lot of cards to send to our troops serving over seas during christmas time. These cards will be blank inside ( and lovingly made) so that the defence members can write in them and send them back in time for christmas for their children, spouses, family and friends.

"Dog Jackets for pets in need"
Another one of my passions is Dogs. We love our Fur-child, Ruby, a Boxer x red heeler ( whom I am sure will grace this blog at some point :)) and I have started gathering fabric and sewing bits and pieces together to make some warm jackets for the local SA Dog rescue dogs. I have made 5 so far with 3 more in the works and hopefully more to come ( I certainly have enough material I have been hoarding over the years).

If you can help out with either of these projects please let me know :)

Thats all for me for today, new to this so not sure how to sign off?...

Over and out!?!
